Accessibility Statement

1. Our commitment

Accessibility is part of building something properly, not a box to tick. We treat accessibility problems on this site as defects and fix them.

2. The standard we build to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We also design with the spirit of India's Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites in mind, since public-sector users are part of our audience.

We describe this site as partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the standard is met, but we have not yet had an independent audit and some areas remain to be verified.

3. What we have done

• Semantic HTML with proper landmarks for header, navigation, main content and footer.
• A skip-to-content link as the first thing a keyboard user reaches.
• A single, logical heading structure on each page, so screen reader users can navigate by heading.
• Text alternatives on meaningful images. Purely decorative images are hidden from assistive technology so they are not announced as noise.
• Visible focus outlines on every interactive element, so keyboard users can always see where they are.
• The full site is operable by keyboard, including the mobile menu, which can be closed with the Escape key.
• Colour contrast checked against WCAG AA for body text and interface text.
• Form fields with properly associated labels, clear error messaging, and no reliance on colour alone to convey meaning.
• Animation and scroll effects are disabled automatically for anyone whose device requests reduced motion. Content is never hidden behind an animation that must play.
• Responsive layout with no horizontal scrolling, tested from small phones upward, and text that reflows when zoomed.
• Form inputs sized to avoid unwanted zoom on mobile devices.

4. Known limitations

We would rather tell you what is not finished than claim more than we can support.

• No independent audit yet. Our assessment is our own, using code review and automated and manual checks. We have not commissioned a third-party accessibility audit.
• No assistive-technology testing programme yet. We have not completed structured testing with screen reader users.
• Third-party fonts. Typefaces load from an external service. If that service is slow or blocked, text falls back to a system typeface, which changes the appearance but keeps the content readable.
• Documents. Any PDFs or presentations we publish in future have not yet been checked for accessibility. If you need a document in an accessible format, ask us and we will provide one.

5. Compatibility

This site is built to work with current versions of the major browsers on desktop and mobile, together with the assistive technologies those platforms provide. It relies on modern CSS. Very old browsers may render it with a simpler appearance, but the content stays readable and the enquiry form stays usable.
